antique silver?

Should you clean antique silver flatware before you try to sell it or sell it in its tarnished shape? Will it decrease the value if you clean it?

    I'm an antique dealer, and I have found that silver sells much better when polished.

    I think you should find someone that deals in silver and get some advice.

    Remember that a lot of so called silver is not. Much of it is silver plating and that is not very thick so cleaning might remove too much silver. It can be repleted and not real costly.

    Definitely find a person that deals in silver and ask what to do.
